Speech Aerodynamics and Voice Laboratory

The Speech Aerodynamics and Voice Laboratory at the Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic features AEROWIN RT for quantitative measurements of nasal cavity resistance, velopharyngeal port resistance, laryngeal airway resistance, laryngeal engagement, related pressure-flow dynamics, and automated report generation for a wide range of pediatric and adult clients, including those with cleft lip and palate, traumatic brain injury, voice disorders, and progressive neuromotor disease (dysarthria). This facility is also equipped with a KAY Endoscopy system for visualization of intraoral, velar, and laryngeal anatomy.
