Advising for Majors

Declaring a Major & Being Assigned an Advisor

Students may contact Becky Harris to complete a major declaration form and be assigned an SPLH advisor. Students then need to complete the Plan of Study tutorial (see below). The student then e-mails their plan of study to their assigned SPLH advisor and requests an advising appointment.

SPLH Plan of Study Tutorial

This tutorial must be completed before the student’s first advising appointment with an SPLH advisor. At the first advising appointment, the advisor will modify and approve the plan of study. The plan of study is then archived in the student’s departmental file.
