Undergraduate Program
Why Choose KU for Speech-Language-Hearing?
Program Excellence
KU's Speech-Language Pathology program is ranked fourth in the nation in the 2008 edition of U.S. News and World Report's America's Best Graduate Schools; KU's Audiology program is ranked seventh. Most undergraduate courses in speech-language-hearing are taught by full-time faculty members. Undergraduates benefit from the expertise of the same faculty members who helped build KU's outstanding graduate program.
Clinic and Research Experience
Students in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing: Sciences and Disorders participate in the University of Kansas' Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing clinic. The clinic treats children and adults with speech, language, and hearing problems. Students also work in research laboratories studying language development, human genetics, speech acoustics and perception, reading, alternative and augmentative communication, noise production, and auditory function.
