Biography —
Kate Greenleaf is a speech-language pathologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas. She leads a team of clinical practicum students that serve individuals with complex communication needs (CCN) and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across the lifespan. She teaches the AAC in the Schools and AAC & Literacy courses to graduate students in speech-language pathology at KU. She is currently working toward completion of her clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology where she is studying gestalt language development (GLD). Her primary interests include professional pre-service training and continuing education in AAC and GLD, school-based services for children with CCN, and factors that contribute to positive communication and literacy outcomes for individuals with CCN.
